Meet the Team: Leah Wilson
“Starting my career as a Speech and Language Therapist is incredibly rewarding. I feel privileged to support children and families, celebrate their achievements, and help create opportunities for meaningful communication every day.”

Speech and Language TherapistMy name is Leah, and I am a Speech and Language Therapist (SALT). I graduated with a Master’s in Speech and Language Therapy from Manchester Metropolitan University in July 2025.
Before training as a therapist, I worked with children and young people in a variety of settings – including teaching English as a Second Language to children in Spain and supporting pupils as a Teaching Assistant at a specialist primary school in Manchester. During my university course, I completed clinical placements across nursery and early years settings, mainstream primary and secondary schools, clinics, and hospitals.
I strongly believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive in the classroom, build friendships, and embrace all that life has to offer. I’m passionate about creating communication-friendly schools and making speech therapy fun, engaging, and tailored to each young person’s needs, goals, and interests.
Although I’m at the beginning of my career, I’m excited to support the children and young people I work with to become confident, happy communicators.
Areas I’m particularly keen to develop my experience in include:
Developmental Language Disorder (DLD)
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
Learning Disability
Outside of work, I love getting lost in a good book, running, travelling to new places, and spending quality time with friends and family.
