Meet the Team: Emily Craven
“I love being part of a child's communication journey. Whether it's a small breakthrough or a big milestone, it's wonderful to see children gain confidence and connect with the people around them.”

Speech and Language Therapy AssistantI’m a warm, friendly, and caring therapy assistant with a bubbly and outgoing personality. I’m passionate about taking a holistic approach to children’s development and believe that speech and language therapy should be a fun and rewarding experience for everyone involved.
My career in childcare started in private day nurseries, followed by a transition into primary education, and has since led me to my current role in speech and language therapy—a field I’m incredibly proud to be part of. I graduated in 2019 with a degree in Early Years and Childhood Studies, and it was during my studies that my interest in speech and language really flourished. Witnessing the profound difference that targeted interventions can make in a child’s development and learning journey inspired me to follow this path .
I’ve worked with children across a wide range of settings, and that experience is reflected in my practice. I bring energy, joy, and a sense of fun to every session, making each one engaging and fulfilling. I tailor every session to suit the individual needs of each child, while also considering the wider family’s needs and dynamics.
I naturally connect with children and their families, and I pride myself on building strong, trusting relationships with everyone I work with—including the adults who support them. Currently, I work across both primary and secondary schools, as well as within our clinic service, and I love being part of each child’s journey toward confident communication.
Personally, I'm a shop-a-holic! I love a good browse around the shops. I’ve also got 2 young children who keep me very busy on my non-working days
